It’s all Happening in Sweden: Ghost Tour, MCC and TiD Return, Priest Debut

Sweden is the place to be this Spring as Magna Carta Cartel and TiD return, Ghost come home and EBM weirdos Priest arrive.

Not since The Bridge hit TV screens has so much excitement been focused around Sweden!

Priest Band

Priest

Priest are a little creepy to say the least. After launching their social media in December, we got our first glimpse of the men behind the music in February and we kinda wished we hadn’t going by the image above. Today Priest have finally unleashed their first offering The Pit on YouTube with a 7″ release on the 17th of April exclusively through Swedish store Freight Train. Dark, brooding, electronic and strangely catchy, The Pit is worth a listen.

Magna Carta Cartel

Last week Swedish dream rockers Magna Carta Cartel announced they had reformed after being on hiatus since 2010 and will be reissuing their back catalogue along with a single of re-recorded fan favourite Sway.

The single of Sway is available on Spotify with a limited to 500 7″ vinyl version exclusive to Swedish store Freight Train. The band’s back catalogue of albums are all available on Spotify and to preorder –

Also exclusive to Freight Train are limited colour vinyl releases –

Goodmorning Restrained:

  • Black vinyl
  • Green (Limited to 300)
  • Blue vinyl (Limited to 300)

The green and blue vinyls are also available with pins and patch.

Roswell

Are defunct Swedish thrash metallers Roswell also looking to return? Rumours indicate it may be a possibility. Roswell released their demo Apocalypse in 2001 with EP The Nothing following in 2002 and full album Void in 2003. Roswell called it a day in 2005 over ‘musical differences’ but it seems that the band may be looking at a comeback.
